Chris Hemsworth credits Photoshop for his giant bicep: true or humble brag?
You know the rules, if you post something to social media, you may end up explaining a thing or two, which is exactly what happened to Chris Hemsworth. An Aussie talk show dug up a picture on Chris’ big brother Luke’s Instagram page of him with Chris and some friends relaxing in Byron Bay. In the photo, Chris’ right bicep looks noticeably larger than his left one. Smarty pants Luke captioned the picture, “Hey @chrishemsworth do you even lift bro?” (It seems all of the Hemsworth boys like harassing each other via social media.)
When asked about his bulging bicep, Chris jokingly attributed it to “Photoshop, lighting and certain angles.” A female host asked, “Is that a new filter that you can get?” Chris apparently didn’t hear her and continued, “[It’s] skin and bone under this jacket.” When another of the show’s hosts asked if it was his “Thor arm”, Chris replied, “Yes. The other one is like this only half the size. I just favor my right side most of the time.”
Chris, who went on a crazy diet in order to lose 33 pounds for his role in In the Heart of the Sea (and promptly went on a pizza binge when he was free to gain the weight back) was promoting his new role as the face of prestige watch brand TAG Heuer. The Aussie hunk also made headlines this week as the first photos of him on the set of the female-led Ghostbusters reboot surfaced. I will miss Annie Potts, but I can definitely handle this look!

I love that Chris can be self-effacing and joke about his image. I honestly don’t think there was any Photoshop involved, just lighting and angles. The guy is Thor, for Pete’s sake. Besides, anyone who can make such a cute nerd is a-okay in my book.
