It’s been a long time coming, but One Piece is ready to set sail this August 2023 on Netflix. The Netflix original comes from Matt Owens and Steven Maeda, with Kaji Productions, Tomorrow Studios, and Shueisha as the production companies behind the series.

Based on the ongoing Japanese manga series of the same name by Eiichiro Oda, One Piece season 1 follows Monkey D. Luffy as he forms a ragtag pirate crew and explores the dangerous oceans on a journey to find the legendary fabled treasure, One Piece, to become the King of the Pirates. But it won’t be an easy journey with many other pirate crews searching for the gold and the Marines hot on their trail.

The Imperfects‘ Iñaki Godoy stars in the leading role of Luffy. Additionally, Luffy’s crew consists of Mackenyu (Roronoa Zoro), Emily Rudd (Nami), Jacob Romero Gibson (Usopp), and Taz Skylar (Sanji).
