Where is Maggie Mayall now?

Maggie, a Chicago native, met blues veteran John Mayall in 1978 while on tour with guitarist Harvey Mandel and became a featured vocalist, composer, and drummer in his band.

In 1986, she created Maggie Mayall & The Cadillacs, an ALL-WOMAN blues band with Debbie Davies on guitar, and they became well-known on the west coast.

The band was only together for two years and never released an album, sounding like a cross between The Fabulous Thunderbirds and The Stray Cats.

She went on to join The Housewives, a rock musical comedy ensemble that performed in clubs and on live television, including The Oprah Winfrey Show, later in her career. “dig this,” a Maggie Mayall CD anthology, is a collection of recordings from 1986 to 2001 that spans my career.

The album was released by her own label, Private Stash Records.

Maggie began singing blues songs at the age of 14 or 15 years old.

She, on the other hand, listened to a wide variety of music as a child.

She has a musical theatre and classical music background.

She was a die-hard follower of 1960s pop music.

Big Mama Thornton, Paul Butterfield Blues Band, and some older traditional blues, as well as folk music, were all favourites of Maggie’s.

At coffee shops, she sang and played acoustic guitar.

The Mayall’s currently resides in Laurel Canyon with their nearly 3-year-old son Zak, in a house, they rebuilt after it was damaged in a bush fire in 1979. John, who is still regarded as one of the most revered figures in the blues, jazz, and rock worlds, tours for up to eight months each year.
