Who dies in Beef on Netflix?

The dramedy series we’ve all been waiting on is finally here. Beef starring Steven Yeun and Ali Wong is now streaming on Netflix, and of course, it’s the talk of the town at the moment. While the show can be dark at times, it gets really dark at the end of the season. Some characters meet their demise, and one of the character deaths we weren’t expecting at all.

Beef follows two strangers from two very different walks of life: a struggling contractor and a self-made entrepreneur who get into a road rage incident outside a hardware store. The incident leads to a chase around the city, ending with neither person getting the revenge they want. This sparks an epic feud between the two that changes the course of their lives and those closest to them.

Now if you were wondering who died in the first season of the dramedy series, we’ve compiled a list of all the character deaths in Beef below. But if you wish to remain unspoiled, you might want to look away now.

Fortunately, Paul doesn’t die in the first season, although he was believed to be dead after the shootout at Jordan’s house in the ninth episode. In episode 9, Issac and his goons hold Amy, Jordan, and Naomi hostage at Jordan’s house. Paul and Danny are eventually brought into the house after Bobby sees them, but then the cops are called and a shootout happens.

Paul and Danny attempt to leave Jordan’s house by climbing over a wall, but Danny chooses to stay behind to not hold Paul back anymore. Paul jumps over the tall wall, and all that can be heard are gunshots. Later in the season, Danny sends Paul multiple text messages to see if he’s still alive, but he doesn’t reply back. This leads Danny to believe that Paul is dead. We find out Paul isn’t dead in the last five minutes of the final episode when he finally replies back to Danny’s text messages. Unfortunately for Danny, Paul wants nothing to do with him though.

Danny’s fate is also briefly up in the air at one point in the series after George shoots him in the final episode. The next scene shows Danny hooked up to several machines in the hospital, and it’s unclear if he’s conscious. However, Danny is revealed to be alive when Amy gets into the hospital bed with him and he puts his arm around her.

There are only two character deaths in the first season, and both occur in the penultimate episode.
