Who’s in the upcoming season?

Elite season 5 is finally premiering on Netflix this week, with all eight episodes dropping Friday, April 8. The fifth season was filmed back-to-back with the show’s fourth season and fans have been eagerly waiting for the new episodes to arrive!

Seeing as we’re so close to the new season, fans are curious to find out which of their favorite characters are returning and whether or not any new actors have joined the cast. We’ve got all the information you need on who’s returning and who’s new below!

It’s a little complicated when it comes to discerning which cast members are returning or not for the upcoming fifth season. By the end of Elite season 4, Samuel, Guzmán, Ander, Omar and Rebeka were retaking their final year at Las Encinas, so they might be exiting the show after they graduate.

For now, we can assume the main cast members are returning, especially based on photos, clips, teasers and trailers released by Netflix. That said, we don’t know the capacity of their return so they might be in every episode or they could just be in a couple.

Here’s who we know is definitely making a return appearance (in alphabetical order):

Valentina Zenere has joined the cast as a new character named Isadora, a pampered Instagram star. Zenere previously starred in the Netflix Spanish-language series Cable Girls and the Argentine-Mexican telenovela Soy Luna, produced by Disney Channel Latin America.

Besides Zenere, additional Elite season 5 newcomers include André Lamoglia and Adam Nourou. Lamoglia will play Iván, the son of the most famous footballer in the world, while Nourou will portray a new character named Eric.
